We had a great time with Lucy and Hatsuko on the cookery course. It was fab having a guided tour round the market and we got to try lots of new delicious things.

The cookery class was great too. We learnt to make Japanese omelette and sushi and Hatsuko is a great teacher. Really lovely to meet some locals and learn more about Japanese cuisine

A great afternoon

Thank you

I had a wonderful time on this tour. Unfortunately my son, who was going to come with me, was unwell on the day we booked the tour but ABC was fabulous about rescheduling the time. In the end he was still unwell, so I did it by myself – but even without company I had a fabulous time!

My guide Akiko was really helpful and knowledgeable – I expected her to tell me about the market and its history, but she also gave me so much more information about Tokyo that I didn’t know before. We started at the temple close to the market, and she was able to tell me a lot about its history as well.

I was surprised at the size of the cooking school – it’s a professional cooking school filled with local people learning to make all sorts of dishes bread cakes etc. My teacher Makiko was very patient and kind – she made me laugh many times and we made a range of dishes that I’ve been too timid to try at home. I’m very confident that I’ll be able to make sushi and Japanese omelette at home – I might even try it was Sochu!

Thank you so much for writing a review!! Akiko seemed to do a great job providing you with so much information about Tokyo. Also, we were glad to hear that Miwako, an instructor, gave you a fun cooking lesson. If you have a chance to visit Tokyo again, please join our cooking class with your son next time. Thank you again and we hope our tour would be a great memory of your Japan trip.

Our family of six did a private tour and sushi class with ABC (which was recommended by our hotel).

We met our guide, Akiko, at the Hongwan-ji Temple. After providing some background about the Temple, Akiko navigated us through the Tsijuku Market. She was very kind and thoughtful during the walking tour. Akiko gave us a very good understanding of the market. She helped us buy some very interesting and tasty foods to eat and souvenirs to take home. Akiko took photographs (which she later provided to us).

Akiko then took us on a bus to the ABC cooking facility where our chef, Takahiro, patiently taught us the art of making sushi and an egg dish. We had dietary restrictions which ABC accommodated. At the end of the class, we had an enjoyable lunch and got to eat the food that we prepared.

This was an excellent experience in Tokyo.

Fun combination of market tour and sushi lesson! My friends and I love Japanese food and joined this course to experience Japanese food. Our guide did a great job with informing us about the market and what’s sold there. Especially, thank you Takahiro for being great teacher for us. This was one of our favorite part of our Japan exploration together.

The cooking portion was amazing. The instructor was informative, spoke very good English, and the food was tasty. We really learned a lot about making sushi and had the whole experience. The facilities were also professional and clean. The walking tour however, was not great. Our guide didn't speak great English and was unable to answer any question we had about the market. The tour just consisted of walking through the market and pointing to the different items sold. We did not learn any information about the history, the culture, or the items in the market. To be blunt, we could've just walked through the market ourselves.

Wonderful time spent with Naomi & Hatsuko today, both providing a friendly & interesting experience. The tour of the outer old fish market was very informative with many tastings along the way. The cooking class was great, everyone of all ages enjoying it. Followed by lunch, eating our delicious culinary masterpieces. A fantastic hands on experience. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Naomi & Hatsuko for a wonderful experience. Regards Brad,Michelle &Tammi 😍

We booked this tour with a view to getting some initial insight into Japanese cuisine. We were delighted with the experience. The event included a walking tour of the outer fish market which was great on atmosphere and variety and gave us a broad insight into what street vendors and food are available. We then moved to a cooking studio and prepared some based sushi and miso dishes. The class taught us some really helpful tips on preparing rolled sushi, miso soup (more than a dollop of paste in water) and the rolled omelette. Very helpful and friendly guide and cooking tutor. Small group, so we didn't feel overwhelmed and had a chance to talk and interact.

THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN. A big thank you to Naomi - the guide - for being so personable and bubbly; explaining about the market and knowing which stalls you can sample snacks from.

Naomi also took wefies with us and emailed me a bunch of photos. Very nice (but I haven’t downloaded it yet hehe!

Miwako was the instructor at the ABC studio and she was lovely! We had the best time rolling tamagos and sushi! And then enjoying our hard work in our mouth. Yum!

The studio is near Ginza so you can do your shopping after.

Thank you; this is a must-do!!!

Narumi is a very friendly and insingithful tour guide, she took us around Tsukiji outer market to show us around the ingredients for making Japanese food. The tour around the market is very interesting as we got to see various types of ingredient and types of fishes and type of sushi. At the end of the tour we hop into the taxi and proceed to ABC cooking studio in Nihonbashi. Hotomi the cooking instructor then teaches us how to make the based sop for Miso or etc. Then we learn how to make Tamago. After that we learn how to mix the rice and how to roll sushi. The trip is very good and we have an insight over Japanese food culture and the making of it. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that wanted to learn about sushi making and Japanese food ingredient. Thanks to Narumi and Hotomi which are very friendly and helpful.

We had a great tour of a very busy fish market - Naomi talked us round the outer market's food stalls & restaurants and we had some time to take a walk round the inner fish market as it was packing up for the day. Still plenty to see and we preferred not getting up at 4am for the auction. Our children, aged 8 and 10, enjoyed both parts of the tour.
