Large store on multiple levels showcasing books, crafts and lifestyle merch. Can spend a good many hours here just browsing. Arts and crafts section especially interesting with exhibits from many areas of Japan.

Maruzen Tokyo is a great bookstore. There is of course a large selection of Japanese books but also a large section of up-to-date foreign (mostly English) books on the top floor. The stationary section is also worth visiting. In addition to all the usual stationary...More

A must if you read and enjoy top quality stationery. Easily accessible from Tokyo station. Books in all languages, fiction and non-fiction. Difficult to leave without buying something. Helpful staff. Avoid the coffee at coffee shop. One entire floor of English books

In looking for a good book on coffee, I was delighted to find an entire section devoted to the art of coffee making.

Very hard to leave without spending loads of money! Awesome selection of English books... and 100x more of Japanese Books. Along with Kinokuniya, probably the largest Book Store in Tokyo!

I go there to stock on Japanese stationary. High quality and very large choice. Only problem: sometime you buy way more than what you need

I'm a bookworm, books attract me like a magnet. So I've walked into a number of bookshops in Japan. This one is my favourite. There are ample books to choose from; many are in Japanese but there is a good selection of English books if...More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
