Jimbocho is a great area of Tokyo, not as busy or rushed as other areas. The best thing about this area is the plethora of used and new book stores, shop and read to your hearts content!

I just happened to be right there, so I walked around a bit. Every shop for several blocks is selling books. I do not read Japanese, so didn't go in but it was interesting!

My teenage grandson and I enjoyed visiting a half dozen bookstores in and around Jimbocho. The rare book stores and print galleries caught my attention and he spent hours browsing at eh cartoon books and games.

A whole street lined with book shops and stalls, old DVDs on sale, too! However, they seem to be second hand books. In between stalls are a variety of restaurants, confess shops and drug stores.

All the books are in Japanese, it's loads of fun to walk around and play like you know what it all means. Nearby are guitar shops and outdoor shops and that's fun.

Sorry I'm late I've been travelling. It's very much hit or miss. The bookshops don't specialise in Doll books. You need to allow a few hours to browse the store hoping to find what you've looking for.
