This is the old Manseibashi train station, which is older than Tokyo station. The old platform, while no longer servicing any trains, has been converted into a coffee shop, where you can watch the trains go by every 3 minutes. Easiest access would be either...More

I enjoyed shopping under the bridge, the brown bricks offer a different feel to the usual Tokyo shopping experiences. The whole precinct reminded me strongly of home, in inner city Melbourne--except rather than Australian made crafts and furniture, things were locally made, Japanese craft!

Ex-station is renewed to nice spot. This place is located at Akihabara, under Chuo line train. You can see and feel the train passing very close to you at second floor view point. 秋葉原の近くにある施設。昔の万世橋駅をリニューアルして作られた。 中央線の線路の高架下にあるのだが、二階のカフェや展望スペースでは、すぐ脇を通り抜ける快速電車の迫力を感じられます。

Situated inside the old train station foundations, and alongside the waterfront, this place is very unique. The shopping options change regularly as they have a lot of pop-up stores for local designers. There are restaurants on the outside of the building and also the Hitachino...More

We nipped in here after walking through akihabara. It is a complete contrast to the main street and it is housed under the arches of the bridge. Full of artisan goods showing traditional and high quality and also contemporary pieces. If you walk right through...More

I loved the architecture here. It took us less than an hour to walk through the lineup of stores. Prices seemed a bit higher but likely due to the uniqueness of their products. We arrived here by taking the JR Yamanote train to the Akihabara...More
