The museum has a collection of European paintings but they are not always on display. They have an interesting collection of Japanese artists. They always have interesting exhibitions.

There some excellent exhibits, but overall a little dull. Staff seemed a little "dry", they could be more friendly. The cost includes entrance to 2 venues. One can access the museum via public transportation.

The museum was very interesting and had some great art inside. The only let down was the cafe which was a bit shoddy compared with other international art galleries. Plastic chairs and sticky tables didn't do justice to the rest of the museum.

It depends how interested in art you are. I haven't much understanding of it, but I do appreciate it. They have two buildings one is crafty stuff and the other paintings and sculptures.

There are some interesting works here but I'm not sure if it should be called modern! The admission fee is really cheap at 480 yen (if I remember correctly) per adult. If you wanted to enter the special exhibition that was on at the time...More

Went there the first day of arrival Very nice building the permanent collection is bit poor. the location is great as placed near the palace garden. Go to the room with a view and admire how quiet is the area :-)

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
