Neighborhood: Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.

Went there in June 18, 2013. Exit from Akihabara ast you will find AKB 48 Shol and Cafe, next to Gundam Cafe. On right side, there is UDX buikding and its on the 4 th Floor. Not much to see since its only occupied 1/4 of the floor. Even Anime cafe at AquaCity is more interesting for my 12 yrs old girl.
Nice building. There is supermarket on ground level and Tully coffee shop next to it. Lots of restaurant at 2 nd floor. And across the building is Animate, 7 Floors filled wuth anime stuff.

When you come to Tokyo, you will open your favored search engine and type in something like "top places to see in Tokyo/Akihabara/Shinjuku" etc. This place was among the top 10, so we had real high expectations. Also, the name I think is a bit too grand for a small - Akihabara vise - store. At the time of our visit, there was an exhibition of an anime, which meant 5 or 6 lifesize figures form the anime, some drawings, some merchandise, and that's it. Apart from these, you could buy overpriced merch which you can find 10 min away from here almost for half.
Not reccommended.

After a couple of years, I thought I would pay this place a visit again and see if it had gotten any better. The first time I went, it looked like it was on its way to something special, but this time there was hardly anything there but a few cardboard cutouts and barely anything on sale. do yourself a favour and miss it. the whole Akihabara area is more of a testament to anime than this place.
You WILL be dissapointed.

The only reason to ever enter the store is if you are already planning on eating somewhere inside Akihabara UDX and this happens to come across your footpath. It's a tiny store with little to look at, and in the 5 minutes that you will spend in there, you could have spent that time more productively at any of the larger name stores in Akiba (Animate, Toranoana, Kotobukiya, Mandarake).

The Anime Center is more about being anime central. Many shops, a thriving outdoor market......all selling anime. And there was a lot of it. I'm not an anime fan but I was very impressed with what I saw and experienced. If you're into anime, this is a one stop shop for you. Walk around, explore the side streets and travel up floors in buildings....you will be surprised at what you find.

As the title says, there is really nothing there. Only a small shop with a few not very interesting stuff. Not worth going.

We were in Akihabara and this showed up as nearby places on our phones and as my boys like anime we decided to go there. Unless we missed something major, it is a small room in the UDX building. There were a few items for sale and a film showing. It's more of a place to sit and rest if you are tired of walking but there are not many chairs and really there is nothing to do after ten minutes. The nearby restaurants in the building also served unpalatable food.

A bunch of drawings and trinkets for sale. Doesn't have explanations or anything in-depth. Not worth a trip.
