The area
Address
Neighborhood: Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.

Did you notice that there's no middle bit in this ferris wheel?!
Nice ride and you can also request the option of a karaoke booth!!

My kids spent amazing day here it was the best day for them in Tokyo even much better than Disneyland because it’s so crowded and time for play
Here the admission is free for all and I have 3 kids to play in all games without limits from 10 am-9 pm with only 2300 yen which was superb and surprisingly good price so they start to play all the games and within 2 hours only the explore all games like big O, thunder dolphins roller coaster, dragons ship plus water game twice it was easy and not crowded with big fun for them so they get hungry very fast plus many flavors restaurant with big cafes and sweet shops plus nice shopping center where you can shop and let your kids play
They play till 4 pm when it start raining heavily then we went back home with big smile on their face
They slept at the car while going back
Must Visit if in Tokyo and try to pick nice day for your kids and come early
Hope to come back again

We were looking for a kid-friendly activity after a hot Sunday morning at Ueno zoo. This was the perfect option. I got myself and my 7-yr old son a night pass for around ¥5000 that is good for 5 hours. Except for the first two rides that took some time to wait, there was hardly any line for most of the rides. My son totally loves it while my wife could enjoy her little break and do some shopping. I would actually prefer this over Disneyland.

If you have kids who are bored with museums and walking around, this place might do the trick.
It has a bit of a retro feel to it.

So..... You don't have to go to far to experience one of Japan's famed rollercoasters. The Thunder Dolphin rollercoaster is part of the Tokyo Dome attractions. Best part is that you don't have to pay entry.... Free to wander around the amusements.... Or buy a single ticket for any ride (approx ¥1100) (if you don't want to commit to a day pass). We bought the 5 ride pass (and that was enough)

Whilst the TD may not satisfy a die hard rollercoaster fan, this is more than enough to fray the nerves if you haven't been on one in a while. First time was scary..... Second time, a bit more fun.

We tried : the water ride (you can get pretty wet, but it was a hot day when we went so we didn't mind) :The drop cage things. Great views and still fun) and the haunted house- you'll need to be able to speak Japanese to really appreciate it, but it is an insight into Japanese horror - think The Grudge or The Ring. Still scared us anyway in parts.

The thunder dolphin though still was a highlight and certainly gives one a taste of what your thrill levels are and made us look into the larger parks such as Fuji Q (didn't make it there on this trip) and make you want to go on bigger and scarier rollercoasters.

All n all.... It was a fun couple of hours and only a short ride on the Tokyo subway to the venue. (and not crazy expensive) Recommended

This is a fantastic ride! You also have to remove all necklace, earrings, items in pockets, hats, glasses--basically, anything that's not firmly attached to your body. But they have lockers there (free) for you to use. It shoots right through the center of the ferris wheel. Great time!

Nothing much to see really, except for the ferris wheel , roller coaster, and carousel. The shops in LaQua are small too, and if you're going full-on shopping, this may not be the first choice (nor would I recommend you travel all the way here for that), but if you're already in the area (visiting Tokyo Dome, perhaps), then why not pass by the attractions?

So much to do, so little time, only so much money... We all have to deal with this when visiting Tokyo, and for those with families, there may be times where you're just scrambling for something to kill a few hours for the entire family without breaking the bank. Tokyo Dome City might be a surprise option. A few rides/attractions for the younger ones, lots of snacking options, a hot spring/onsen spa, the adjacent Tokyo Dome stadium and the Japanese Pro Baseball Hall of Fame...and no overall admission fee!
