This monument was reopened once again for tourism just lately. This is very historic site , which signifies the country converting to a predominantly Catholic religion in the next era. But visiting here doesn’t entail paying cash . And it is just more of a brief photo opportunity. Part of our itinerary.

Nice photo spot but can be quite busy. Do not miss the coffee shop next door, Overgrown Cafe. Best views in Bohol.
There is a wheelchair ramp and a bit of street side parking.
Below and closer to the sea is an arena area.

Statue and monument of the friendship and joining together with blood rights between the Filipinos and Spanish.
Nicely made and located overlooking the sea. But could be much better with a plaque giving full information about the dates and stories of the event. Luckily our guide was very good and precise with the full story.
A good part of Bohol history that could be made more of.
Worth a visit for history buffs.

tgis monument is designed to commemorate blood compact treaty between spainard commander, Legazpi and head of indigeneous bohols. what a pity!! there are no information handing out onsite who they are on the monument. it's closed walkway to the well where the water for this holy treaty was obtained.

Here you can see the sculpted work of one of our National Artist, Napoleon Abueva, You could probably spend around 10 minutes here, just for picture taking. Nothing much to see here, except for the sculpture, but the view is breathtaking. Though, I heard that this may not be the actual site of the blood compact between Sikatuna and Legaspi, on March 16, 1565.

You will pass by at Blood Compact Monument if you go for your Countryside Tour. However, do not buy Calamay/Kalamay at any tourist attractions except here. I bought the cheapest here for 3 for P100 instead of buying it somewhere for P50/pc

Whatever you see in the profile pic that's about it.

This is along the road towards other towns of Bohol, so this should only be a quick stop by. If you are backpacking then you can ride the a jeepney/bus (at the Island City Mall terminal) towards Loboc/Loay/ or other towns. Nothing else to see in that area so you can ride a jeep/bus again and move on to the next towns.

A nice statue with a small good story but not more than that. No need to see if schedule is busy....

It is good to know and visit the place wherein a historical event happened a long time ago. It was just a quick stopover. The place is small but spacious enough to have a picture taken.

I did expect the same photo that you'll see on the normal picture of this place, but when we visited here it was on construction but anyhow, it's still the Blood Compact Monument where eveyone will come to visit.
