On the coast there are the remains of the ancient docks. This is the reason why tourists flock to the tiny Drios (or Dryos).

Not a big deal to us on our travels, if you are going to Golden Beach area, then you could stop, we did not really stop, look at the picture that's what you are looking for.

We walked here from out hotel , the Anezina, and were pleased to find a small harbor and these ancient docks. I took a few short videos to record the sounds of the water lapping against the rocks. Oh, how devine a sound.

I must declare an interest in that I have had a summer home in Dryos since 1993. These ancient docks, the little harbour, the beautiful beach, the crystal sea where I swim for 2 miles every morning - all this creates a mystical magic that...More

Strange canals, obviously man-made, carved in the rocks at one side of Drios beach. What were they really for? They appear too small for boats. I couldn't find an answer at the beach, googling does not help much either.

The rocks have obviously been carved for some purpose, but would boats be narrow enough to fit in these spaces side by side? Did ancient boats not have keels? If you look round the corner past the harbour wall there are some more of these...More

Not much to see at this location, but there are a couple of very nice sea-side tavernas and the swimming is good. There are no informational signs at the old ancient docks.

At the end of a beach you'll find these immovable stones with carved spaces, once used by early settlers. Pretty under a full moon too.

Amazing view of the rocks at the end of the beach .... You will need some explanation how all this was functioning.

We were amazed to see such a rare and interesting archeological finding at Drios beach where we were bathing! It is worth having a stroll at the clear blue beach as well and the restaurants there.
