Good trip. We arrived at approximately 3:45 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the museum. After buying our tickets, we set off to explore the open air museum. There were several dozen buildings, scattered throughout the grounds that were available for viewing. Each building had an informational plaque in front of it, detailing some background information on the origin of the building. We were able to go inside several of the buildings, and see how they were furnished in the past. There were also several helpful employees, scattered throughout the grounds, who were available to answer any questions we may have.

Tip: I recommend spending 2 hours here if you truly want to see everything.

Ethnographic park is divided into several sectors with the buildings characteristic of different ethnic groups. The place is very well developed. Here taken care of every little detail. Visiting this vast area requires a lot of time, but it is extremely pleasant. I recommend get off the main trail and go to the lookout on the Black Nida - idyllic image of rural on the bend of the river will relax.

The Countryside Museum is located about 10-12 mil from Kielce (off E77). It is a quick drive from Kielce through gorgeous surroundings.
The park is full of an amazing architecture, old cottages any many more buildings full of folk culture.
They are many family events hold there every year.
Highly recommended to visit. You will end up taking a LOT of photos.

A beautiful open air museum showing traditional buildings from the past.
We had a guide who spoke good English which helped to explain the history of each building. The buildings are original (not copies). Well worth the visit.

Beautiful open-air ethnographic museum few kilometers from Kielce showing life in different subregions around Kielce. You can see original wooden buildings from different parts of the region from 18th,19th century (maybe some older?) - original wood church, school, pharmacy, windmills with nice view of near Chęciny Castle.... The museum is large and very good ordered and maintained. I am now not sure, if there are informations in English.
