St. Senan's Church is blessed with the presence and beauty of many a Cathedral. The stained glass windows, altar and organ gallery are a joy to behold.

If you don't have any particular reason to visit, you will perhaps skip it as a tourist... It is a beautiful building with typical stained glass décor. A nice short visit is ok and warranted.

Probably some of the most spectacular stained glass I've seen in Ireland. I felt a sense of inner peace in just sitting in this church. A most see if you are in the area.

I visited kilrush to trace my ancestry. Online records were a little hard to come by but I was directed towards the church, and father Sheedy in particular, to see if I could access the church records. Father Sheedy was very accessible and friendly and helped me search through all the relevant records. A very lovely and knowledgable man. The... More

Not much to say, but just a nice old church with the typical huge stained glass windows. Definitely not a tourist attraction, but worth stopping in for when out and about in Kilrush.

This is a classically ornate church. It seems to take its style from the great Augustus Pugin. Even a casual glance is a feast for the eyes - mosaics of people and animals. A beautifully decorated wooden main ceiling. Stained glass of St.Senan, St.Bridgid and St.Patrick and others in an iconic and wonderful style. (I found out this was made... More
