Disappointed that I couldn’t get to go into the church, firstly there was a wedding & when we went back at around 5pm it was locked up. Rose window from the outside looked amazing.

Beautiful Church built before the famine. Really nice stained glass windows. Magnificent Rose window donated to this church also a recent modern stained glass window donated within the last 10 years. Wonderful celebration of Mass every Sunday by the local Fr.Larkin and wonderful choir by family of local musicians The Fennel Family. This is available on webcam.

As part of his church decoration business Joshua Clarke made stained-glass windows. His Dublin-born son Henry Patrick "Harry" Clarke (17 March 1889 – 6 January 1931) developed his talents in his father's workshops. In a tragically short but brilliant career, Harry achieved considerable international renown for his highly accomplished and very distinctive work as a stained-glass artist. Harry was also a book illustrator and a leading figure in the Irish Arts and Crafts Movement. Some of the finest examples of Clarke’s windows can be found behind the altar of St. Senan’s R.C. Church, Toler Street, Kilrush. The windows are magnificent and well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed. The 1840s church is also a wonderful example of church architecture.
