Montaña de Arucas (mountain of Arucas, in English) is a mountain located in the surroundings of the little town of Arucas, in the Gran Canaria Island. The main attraction are the beautiful views of the town and especially the views of Cathedral of Arucas, an...More

The road is still accessible and the views are great. Sadly the coffee shop and kids play area are all closed down and not available. This is sad as an extinct volcano was filled in to form this viewing area and it's now not used!

Nice view from this vantage point. Plenty of parking if you come by car. There is a cafe here but never seen it open, suspect it is permanently closed. Unfortunately, the closed cafe prevents you from seeing half the view, but the other half is...More

Not many people come up here. There used to be a huge restaurant up here. After spending a fortune renovating and refurbishing it, it is now closed and abandoned. Sad. I was up here on a bad day, weather wise. Even so, the views were...More

I took the bus from Las Palmas and walked up the hill and joined the winding road towards the top. A few people were looking expectantly through the windows of the restaurant/cafe which was closed. The cafe terrace was inaccessible so at the very top...More

Good road around the hill to the top. The view once there is fine. The Iglesia de San Juan Bautista below stands out so much it looks out of place in it's dark rock. The restaurant/cafe on the hill was closed when we were there.

I can not believe how blinkered people are when it comes to sunny places. The view from the top of this scrappy hill is appalling. You can see Gran Canaria at its worst: unplanned buildings, roads ripping through this rock strewn landscape, piles of rubble...More

View from the top is amazing ,also a great cafe. Very reasonably priced for soft drinks. Roads up and down properly surfaced and wide enough for 2 cars without concern.

There aren´t public buses to go there, but you can take a taxi from the center. It,s not too expensive. About 10 euros you can go to the top, give around, and return.
