We visited here on a day trip to Arucas. We could see the building from quite far away, however, when we get closer it actually seemed quite small. Inside, it was very informative in Spanish, English and German, with every relic having a thorough description. The construction, history and architecture was interesting to read about but only filled the best of 15 minutes of our day.

Easy to find the town, less easy to navigate the one way system to find a carpark, but a pretty church and town. There is a cultural house with good exhibitions and some nice cafes to stop for a drink. About an hour will do the whole thing, then go onto Firgas. . .

This neo-gothic monster towers over the small town and forms the hub of activity around. Sadly discovered its not open during siesta time ie early afternoon, but worth a visit to the site nonetheless.

The church looks impressive from the road towards Arucas. However, up close it's not that special. There's a square in from of it with children playing soccer and people drinking coffee. Car parking is next to the church. It looks nice, but it's not worth a detour.

the curch is gorgeous, the bars/restaurants around the square and and in teh streets are even better. The church is so imposing for that part of the island that you cant help but feel the importance to locals...

Beautiful church perches up on a mountainside. It has lovely stained glass windows and interesting church to visit with many side altars and statues.

A beautiful place you can’t miss, special place to be. Take walk around city and see church from different sites. Parking is just beside.

Would recommend visiting the church and indeed Arucas
to anyone touring Gran Canaria. Amazing to find such an impressive building in a small town. Unique!

It looks magnificent from the outside and the surrounding area was pleasant too. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go inside- not sure whether it’s usual in Gran Canaria, but it was closed at 2pm.
