The Wine Museum is the oldest winery in the Canary Islands and one of the ten oldest in Spain. The current owners are the fifth generation of a family who bought it from another family in 1880. It's placed in the protected zone of "La Geria" which was covered with lava and ash after the volcanic eruptions from 1730 to 1736. Inside, you will find wine presses, pumps, crushers, stills ... etc., everything from the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. We invite you on a walk through our vineyard in the heart of la Geria and to taste our Wines. Come and visit our winery, we will be pleased to attend you

We had bought some bottes of El Grifo in the supermarket and wanted to see the bodega. The wines are very good! The tasting at the bodega is a bit expensive from my point of view. But something which you shouldn't miss whe visiting Lanzarote!

Thank you for your visit to our museum, we apologize for the tasting prices but this is due to the low productivity of the vineyards. Best regards, More

Visited this as we wanted to go to a winery and this one houses the wine museum for the Region. Paid 4 euro each which includes a self-tour with a guide leaflet, and a wine tasting of a single wine per person. Very interesting to see how you can grow wine in a landscape which looks like a desert. Wine... More

Drove here from Playa Blanca. Nice way to spend an hour. 4 euros per person allows you to visit museum and other attractions also includes 1 wine tasting. Good views outside. Friendly staff

The bodega has a wine museum housed in the old winery buildings. You get a self guide map/card in your chosen language and are left to tour around the buildings and exhibits at your leisure. Far more interesting than we expected and great value too as you get to taste the wine at the end!

Although it is the most touristy Bodega in La Geria I think it's still worth a quick stop. We went there on a week day at around 6pm and were lucky to have the place almost to ourselves. If I remember well, I think we paid 15 euros for 2 which included the visit to the museum, a walk outside... More

The 6 wine tasting with cheese and bread sticks for 10 euros is amazing. The best vineyard on the island & I think we've visited most! Great little museum too.

As we have drunk a few bottles of El Grifo wine during our holidays to Lanzarote we had this on our to visit list. This bodega is one of the oldest in Spain and I think the oldest on the island dating from the 1700's. We called in after a morning visiting the Jardin du Cactus. We chose the 15... More

This proved to be a really enjoyable way to spend a hour. We took the 4 euro per person option of visiting the interesting historic museum, unusual vineyard, lovely cactus garden before having a taste of one of the number of wines they sell.. The reds was our choice, very nice.. additional glasses of wine are able to be purchased... More

We pre-booked the full guided tour of the winery that included a walk through the wine making process, the museum and then out around the vines themselves (which are worth looking at due to the unusual conditions they are grown in). We were taken around by a lovely guy called Stefan, who was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining... More
