Although an early start (8am) it was well worth it as the attractions were not busy when we visited. The tour was conducted by a very knowledgeable guide whose passion for the island was infectious. From the island's volcanic origins to how much you can expect to pay for a house, the details were as fascinating as the scenery was beautiful.
Because the minibus was quite small, the service was a lot more personal. The guide was simply brilliant and her love of the island made the experience more than just a tour. Don't get me wrong, the scenery is truly breathtaking but the guide made the tour for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the morning I spent on this tour and thoroughly recommend it should you find yourself in Lanzarote.

We were only visiting Lanzarote for a long weekend, so needed to fit in as much as possible on Saturday/Sunday. We knew we wanted to see Timanfaya, plus as much Cesar Manrique stuff as possible, so we arranged two five/six hour tours - one to the south of the island and one to the north.

Angela took on board everything we'd asked to see, and generated two fantastic private itineraries for us. Her knowledge of Lanzarote was incredible, and we didn't once feel rushed - it was great to be able to take our time, knowing the day would be altered as we went along to accommodate everything we wanted to see.

The tours were more expensive than a group excursion, but it was definitely worth the money. Particularly as we had limited time and a clear idea of what we wanted to see. I'd definitely recommend Angela and her family run business.

I was very skeptical about guided tours because they tend to be so robotic. But the passion Angela has for the island and its alien beauty is so genuine it made me feel I went on a tour with a best friend who was eager to show me how beautiful his area is. Her connection with the island is so strong it made me emotional at the end of the tour. I would go there just to meet her again. What a wonderful experience that was. When visiting the volcanos one bus in front of us had an engine failure so we had to turn back which gave us an unique experience because it was the first time for her when she could see the volcanos from thar perspective. And she made it so sweet and funny. Andrei and Alejandra.
P.S. Angela, if you read this: “muchos abrazitos” and thank you for being so you :)

Fabulous day out! Booked the North Tour, from a lovely lady in the Costa Teguise Tickets Direct office.
She explained what the day would entail.. Visiting the fabulous views from the Mirador Del Rio... To the breathtaking Jameos Del Agua, the home of the famous artist Cesar Manriquie. Well worth the visit.

We did a "fully personalized" tour of 5 hours (Timanfaya National Park, Camel Ride, and, Visit to the Jameos del Agua), because we are a family group in which we have 4 children (the older of 11 years and the youngest of 1 and a half), and it was, a success.
But the most important thing is not everything we saw but how Angela, our Guide, told us. He had a special empathy from the beginning with all of us, and especially with the children. His explanations were very interesting and enjoyable, so he was able to capture all our attention from the beginning to the end of the Tour.
Fully recommended Lanzarote Experience Tours.

A fabulous island tour with Paul on Wednesday. He was very welcoming and informative. We were a slightly bigger group of 20people but we had a large coach to allow for excellent social distancing. Local company too!
Thanks for the experience.

Our tour guide, Angela, picked us up right on time at the ship in a very nice van for our group. She was extremely knowledgeable and advised she lived there all her life, so she took us to some beautiful oceanfront locations not normally on tour. We absolutely loved the ride around the national park. Our group decided to skip the camel ride and she took us to a cute vineyard/winery for samples and then to an area dedicate to farmers which was beautiful. If you get Angela, you will be in great hands!

Grand island tour
Avoid, Avoid and Avoid - firstly you expect this tour to be a day tour - however the coach pick- up went around numerous hotel pickups eventually meeting at particular point where further coach met and passengers were moved depending upon the tour requested. The tour was supposed to take us to Timanfya volcano - getting there a couple of disappointing experiments were run - hot coals, hay blazing and a steam spray - wow? Not really - secondly we then went into a wine tasking tour - 2 wines provided - choose between sweet or non sweet - tasted horrible and a disappointment - glad we weren’t forced to buy anything - however there was a souvenir shop - really basic and nothing of interested - headed to the under ground cave - this is. The only highlight - you go to underground caves inhabited by small crabs the size of an old half penny coin - the proceed to a concert hall within a cave and pass some nice gardens - we were supposed to go to the green lagoon - however this was closed due to some filming taking place which was replaced by a very disappointing visit to the salt lakes - if this is a nightlight tour - I would give it 3/10

This tour cost 33 Euros and was full day.Offered by our hotel. There were many pick ups in a double decker bus. We drove through endless black ash, black stones and eventually to a small black sand beach. I hit boredom level quickly ! There were the peaks of the volcanos among the ash with little of interest to hear about them. The stop at the top of one involved a steep climb which I could not manage. Instead I had dreadful tea in the cafe.
Another stop was to visit a row of about 40 camels where large bottomed people rode them a short way and came back complaining of feeling sea sick ! I would have loved to set the camels free ! The coffee and cake there was good though.
Lunch was us packed like sardines with our elbows in, at tressle tables, to have bean soup which was good, followed by fried fillets of chicken which were tepid, tasteless, thin and accompanied by a tiny mound of coleslaw that only a pig would enjoy.
The only pudding was a banana ! Dreadful.
We were taken to see salt planes that were not interesting because they had
been defunct for 40 years due to fishermen having left the area then.
We did stop at a winery and sampled two minute glasses of wine. The dry one probably gets shipped out to suppy Sarisons vinigar company. The sweet one tasted like the dry one, but with spoonfuls of suger added. We quickly escaped to have a cup of tea next door. I think it was made from cat's piss.
Each stop allowed you to visit a shop or two. All tourist tat. All the same.
Spend your 33 euros in any much better way, or just have a day in the sun reading a good book !
