Excellent visit and great tasting
Mar 2020 • Couples
You can visit this beautiful place under your own steam if you have a car, take a taxi or go by bus and walk back to Agaete like we did.

The guided tour is modest in length but shows you coffee, fruit and wine production. Your €8 also gives you a tasting of the local spring water and oranges, then a tasting of 4 wines accompanied by ample snacks including bread, cheese, coffee jam, local sausage etc and plenty of cake! And coffee after. All excellent quality and no hard sell of products, though they are so good you may well be tempted!

Organizational disaster
Feb 2020
This place has great potential. However, it is destroyed by poor organization and poor demonstration of what you can see. First of all, hardly anyone from the staff speaks English. It's hard to believe from in a tourist spot like this. In other countries, unthinkable. The guide briefly discusses and shows a coffee bush, oranges and a wine cellar. She also gives you a few drops of local water to taste. Actually, all this can be seen on the road and you don't need explanations for this. I would like to go anad see a coffee or orange orchard and try fruit straight from the tree. I would also like to try avocado but it didn't work out. After 10 minutes we were seated at a table so that we could taste local cheese and wine as well as coffee jam. I recommend jam with wine. Unfortunately, the service staff changed constantly, did not speak English and very accidentally served drinks and food to the tables. You had to be lucky or reprimand. Coffee is a real disaster. I am the owner of a coffee roaster and a machine which I saw as the roasting method can be called slightly archaic. The way it is roasted means that any grain will spill out, coffee will always be the same. It is a pity because in such a small plantation you can take care of very high quality. I do not recommend buying this coffee. Its high price does not reflect its low quality. About the chapel with Our Lady of Pine I will not speak so as not to offend anyone. 8 Euro is of course a low price but it is a waste of time. Good coffee and good wine can be enjoyed elsewhere. They are a lot of such places on Gran Canaria.

We visited here as apart of our tour operators excursion tour. We we when arrived we were greeted by friendly staff explaining all about the plantation.

We were showed we they did their in the plantation from seeing the bananas to their coffee plants.

After the tour, we tasted their own wine, with cheese and other treats that they make there.

We saw lots of wildlife and throughly enjoyed the experience

A little gem so allow plenty of time
Jan 2020 • Couples
We visited today and completed the tour for 8euros - lots of information about process to produce coffee and wine as well as the many fruits grown and a potted history about Canarian dogs- finished off with some wine, cheese, coffee and cake to taste. It was interesting and delivered by friendly staff, passionate about the bodego and it's productions. No hard sell here though you will want to buy - it was relaxing, welcoming and I'd recommend a visit - I'd definitely go again ♥️

Jan 2020 • Family
We drove up in out rental-car, a nice trip really nice to see the surroundings.
The plantation has nice employees, we got a private tour. They have coffee-plantation, grapes for wine-making, avocado, banana and oranges. After the tour the one who were not driving got to taste 4 different wine . We got cheese, bread, jam ++ kids got juice and me coffee from the plantation. Even got glutenfree options instead of bread. A small shop. We bought two wines, goat cheese and chorizo-topping from the tasting 👍👍😊

Fun tasting & nice presents
Jan 2020
Bodega Los Berrazales is definitely worth the visit.

You can have guided tour round the plantation - or you can have an excellent tasting of 5 wines, cake, cheese, chorizo and a marvellous marmelade made of coffee and apples. €7 per person.

After the tasting you’ll want to buy presents for your friends at home. We bought the fine rosé wine, the cheese and the marmelade - fantastic presents.

The farm with coffee plantation
Dec 2019
if you are in Agaete valley and have a car pop out there to see, on a guided tour, coffee and tropical fruits plantation and a wine cellar. You will see the oranges, mangoes, avocados e.g. After around 20 minutes tour, the wine tasting accompanied by cheese, great apple and coffee jam and choriso toasts. You will taste  5 different wines, starting with 2 white ones, moving to rose, red one and at the end white dessert wine.   To finish with the cake and fresh coffee (Arabica) from the plantation. The costs 8 Euro with guided tour / 7 Euro just for tasting. You can also buy the products in the shop.

Once can struggle  a little bit to find this great and relaxing  with feel like home place. Froma Agaete  follow sing direction to Los Berrazales and than look for a small sing Finca La Laja to turn to the right and follow the road and signs for another 2 KM on the narrow mountains road. I recommend to turn up latter in the afternoon when many tour groups are gone and it's more relaxed atmosphere.

So wanted to visit
Nov 2019
This was on my list of places to visit. But our hire car had noisy break pads and a very smelly clutch sometimes.

To get here you have to navigate some VERY challenging roads; narrow, steep and corners the sat-nav called U-Turns.

Abandoned the climb with 15 minutes of climbing still to go, and just settled for scaring the Mrs by driving south on the GC200.

I’m sure it would have been worthwhile, but check your equipment first.

Interesting tour
Nov 2019 • Couples
We called in here, having made the mistake of traveling up the parallel road high up in the mountain to Los Berrazales - do look for the sharp right turn if driving yourself.
We had a short but interesting tour of part of the farm to learn how coffee and other fruits are grown are in the arand then had tastings of 4 wines with some snacks in the relaxed environment overlooking the mountain. A shop sold the wines and other local products but there was no hard sell to buy. Even though we didn't finish until after closing time, our guide patiently waited for us to finish. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
