Palma de Mallorca Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour with Optional Boat & Belver Castle

258 reviews
Palma de Mallorca offers many sights, but viewing them all can be a challenge. Avoid the rush of a typical tour and relax on board a sightseeing bus that passes the city’s beaches, markets, and major monuments, including the Grand Cathedral and the Bellver Castle. Follow your own itinerary at a pace that suits you, hopping off or on as you like, or upgrade for an additional boat cruise or included entry to Bellver Castle.

We had our summer holiday in Majorca and this was our favourite beach. Lovely cool white sand, plenty of loungers and umbrellas. There is a cafe and restaurant and so long as you buy something you can use the toilets for free. There is quite a bit of sea weed as you step into the sea but then you come to clear blue water after a few steps. The umbrellas/ 2xloungers combo costs 20euro for the whole day. There are buses to and from the beach but they are hourly and the last bus is at 19.05 so most people drive and there is plenty of parking. Enjoy!

The beach front strip is lovely and not commercialised with nice restaurants and some nice coffee shops all overlooking the sea really lovely. Unfortunately the beach which is just left of the harbour and the other end of Es Trenc is very poor with overpriced sun beds and a lack of beach facilities. It has tons of seaweed stacked up all along the beach with awful smells from the seaweed and it’s nearly impossible to get in and out of sea in a few places and it really is a shame being so close to main strip. It looks like a beach which has been neglected even though it is beside the port of Sa Rapita. There are some lovely beaches in the area so my recommendation is not to bother going to this beach. My 3 stars by the way are for strip which is lovely.

The beach front has a little bit of everything for everyone. Some of the beach has craggy black rocks, but then there is a divng board which swimmers use to jump off. They have a ball. The water is crystal clear with beautiful shades of blue. I saw some swimmers pretty far out in the water. Surprised me! Some people lay out in the sun on the rocks. Other people go down to the marina area and lay out on the sand. Right now, June 2019, there is some seaweed stuff which has washed in near the marina and there is more in the water which will show up with the next storm. But, people are still windsurfing, paddleboarding, sunbathing, playing volleyball and more! Along the beach front, across the street, there is every kind of place one could want. There are many restaurants, mom and pop cafes with menu del dia 9 euros, trinket shops, pharmacy, ATMs, and more. But, there were no huge tourist throngs in June. It was just lovely!

We had spent almost 11 days on this beach, swimming, sandcastle building, lying on sun beds etc Beach is sandy and water is crystal clear. Idyllic... until our last day ... when the Rude, Impolite GERMANS ARRIVED. I’m sure all Germans don’t behave like this but these had no manners, shouted at us, threw our belongings, kicked our belongings across the sand and stood up against me to threaten me. The GERMAN children even swore at us! This appalling behaviour was because of a misunderstanding that could have been cleared up in seconds by speaking to the beach services guy who had sold us sun beds and also took reservation money from them. Just to be clear you GERMANS may have paid 30€ to reserve BUT MANNERS COST ZERO EUROS. you should be very ashamed of yourself, you made a scene, everyone was looking at you. You should think about those three children you are raising You Are Not very good role models ARE YOU!
