Whilst visiting the old town we went into the church which is very nice. But even better was paying the euro to go into the museum and to go up the tower (torre).
We usually climb any church bell towers wherever we go but this must be one of the best. The stairs just kept on going, up to one level then the next, getting smaller and smaller and more restrictive. At the top fantastic views over Xativa.
Guide in the church told us its the tallest torre in Valencia.
Definitly worth the climb

What a splendid church to visit, I always like looking in churches, especially in Spain, they are always a surprise. The inside is a joy beautiful murals so bright and beautiful. You must go in if you are travelling here, not far from here is a wonderful park to sit and rest afterwards.

The photograph here says it all - this church is stunning to look at from the outside and even more stunning on the inside. The architecture is beautiful and you need to allow yourself about half an hour to an hour to look around, depending upon how much reading you decide to do. It has an imposing presence which captivates you.

Like many churches in Spain looked lovely from the outside. However it does not prepare you for the interior, stunning architecture with brightly coloured murals and painting adorn the inside. We spent half an hour walking open mouthed enjoying this little gem.
This church is well worth a visit so make sure you arrive when it is open to soak up it's splendour.
