There square is huge where you can sit and wonder at the lovely building that is the town hall. A baroque facade with beautiful carvings. It was closed when we were there as it was a Spanish holiday - celebrating Christopher Columbus discovery of America....More

One or two roads back from the main pomanade lies the town hall, a magnificent building in a beautiful plaza, a couple of fine cafe restaurants with outside tables and chairs, also a Spar shop if you need milk and more..

Alicante's city hall has some nicely decorated rooms and interesting paintings. It is open to the public without any admission.
Free entry, mildly interesting salon upstairs with silk wallpaper, and some busts on the stairs, but huge Dali statue in the interesting foyer makes the visit a must.
