The wave forms of the central plaza give way to the op art of the promenade.
The tourist, Walker, runner, disabled person have been put front and centre in the construction of Alicante’s main walkways. They are wide and intricately constructed with giant tesserae.
It is so nice to stroll along the explanada and watch life. Sometimes there is music in the bandstand, sometimes you can browse the shops, watch groups of old friends chatting or just stroll. Dappled shade offered by the trees and watch the harbour activity.
It’s imposible to missed as irs just front see and are plenty restos and bars. Very tourist and has some stools with souvenirs and local stuff .you will found locals and tourist enjoying the our door seats

A very pretty esplanade running alongside the Marina. Plenty of shade from the variety of trees, edged by cafes and ice cream parlours. Look around and you see the locals enjoying there Sunday stroll, the older ones sitting on chairs chatting, look up and appreciate...More
What a wonderful place to go for a stroll, great sights and sounds. Plenty of vendor options as well as people watching. Absolutely love the wavy patterned walkway. Definitely a must-do if in the area.
The esplanade gives the optical illusion of rising and falling furrows, it’s a pleasant walk apart from a few beggars, with restaurants and shops on one side, the marina across the road on the other. Plenty of places to eat and drink.

The marina and promenade area are easily accessible for a wheelchair user however the old town and outer areas may well pose a little bit more of a challenge saying that the marina area is lovely and you would have plenty to do and see in this area alone as there are plenty of bars restaurants and shops so you may well not have to go any further
Have a great trip you will love Alicante as we did
