Coffee or alcohol. Early or late . It doesn’t matter it’s just a great place to sit . If it’s cold they have heaters and if it’s hot it’s a cool place in the shade

For getting from one place to another it is convenient. But for ambience I’d turn east and walk through the old town. Much better, lots of interesting buildings and alleyways to look at, and much quieter.

Main thoroughfare in Alicante from the harbour and Explanada to Mercado lined with many shops and bars. Popular with tourists and locals alike. Heaving and buzzing on Saturday night. Magnificent trees in the small park Plaza Portal del Elche near the Gran Sol Hotel.

A unique place to stop for coffee or a drink and snacks. In a pretty little park, on a busy thoroughfare. So quaint, think it`s been there forever, a well kept secret. Very old trees on the outside. Pretty at night also with the fairy...More

We stopped for a couple of drinks and sat by one of their heaters, which kicked out a considerable amount of heat. Nice place to people watch and not expensive
