We liked this market much better than the more famous Boqueria in Barcelona. More variety of items for sale - meat, fish, fruits and veggies, flowers (outside). Clean restrooms. Soda pop vendng machine.

Unlike some touristy markets in other Spanish cities, this one in Alicante is essentially local. Most of the shops have Spanish signs only and remain loyal to local customers. Things are fresh and cheap. Beware of graphic scenes in the meat stalls.

We’ve been in countless public markets while sailing our boat and this was for sure the cleanest, most organized we’ve seen. Definitely worth a visit.

Really easy. It's a 5 minute walk on one road heading towards past the Praça Lucerne. Or a taxi ride. No Uber in Alicante. Very simple. Very close.
