    Beautiful beach in Alicante
San Juan beach is beautiful. My friend and I stayed at a hotel which was 10 minutes away walking distance, and we often went to the beach when the hotel pool area was crowded. It wasn't too crowded at San Juan beach, but as was scorching hot, so the sand was also hot to walk on. On one occasion, we had to pay 20 Euros for 2 sun loungers at the beach. However, when we went there the second time, we did not get notified to pay (maybe the guy had already left or siesta time). Just for future reference, if you are planning to go here, be prepared to pay for sun loungers and if you don't have a sun parasol for the beach. We stayed at the beach for almost 5 hours and packed some snacks and drinks (we skipped lunch as we had a breakfast buffet). Overall, a nice beach to go to if you're staying at a hotel near by. The beach was clean and less crowded during the weekdays when we went (early July).

Definitely not suitable for British holidaymakers
I'm gatekeeping this beautiful location to keep the Brits away (yes, I'm British). So, here is my review. Don't go, No English pubs, No bars playing sports No 'full English breakfast signs' No lager louts No live music in bars No 'decent food'. It's all tapas and fish I would suggest you go further up to Benidorm if you want a home-from-home holiday experience

    Amazing beach
Amazing quality of the sand -- softer than sugar. Permanent activities for small children (climbing jungle gyms), older children (rope climbing, skate park), teens and adults (football and volleyball). Many convenient chiringuitos (beachside bars and restaurants) and sanitary facilities. Boardwalk along the entire length and wheelchair-accessible access sites as well. Easy access from public transportation.

    Unbelievably beautiful
Stunning! We caught the Alicante tram from Porta del Mar to Plaza Coruña which was a 20 min journey and then walked down. Powder soft sand, stunning sea with amazing waves. So clean! Loads of fabulous eateries. Cannot wait to return!

Quiet beach near Alicant ! In April..
We came by tram from Alicante for only euro 1.45 . Surprisingly quiet compared to Alicante. Great snorkel swim at North end. Beautiful sand, no beds, people nor facilities in April. But it suited us :-) Nice bar great snacks. Walked over nature wetlands to next town.

We got tipped by a local that this was her favourite beach to go to. She was not wrong! Beautiful white sand, views beyond Benidorm work mountains on the background. We loved it! Only a 30 minute tram ride from Alicante.

It is advisable to bring your own picknick, as there aren’t any shops and only a few restaurants. We did not encounter any dogs and/or nuisance caused by dogs. As is a complaint by some users.

My complaint is that there aren’t any public toilets in winter time, which I find totally unacceptable. We were in Malaga in January and all public toilets were opened and regularly cleaned (as we witnessed). The toilets of a restaurant on a sea promenade looked like absolute filth, with flushing not possible.

This is a wonderful beach to go to! You can get the tram no 3 from Alicante, just takes 10/ 15 mins. The beach is very clean with pure white sand. It goes on for ages, and you can either hire out sunbeds and parasols. We hired 3 sunbeds and 1 parasol and that cost 24 euros. We stayed near a bar that served drinks and snacks.
The sea has lots of waves so not that calm, but it's really shallow. You have to go out quite a way before it gets deep. I would definitely recommend this beach😊

The beach was really easy to get to from Alicante, 20min ride, beach front was lovely had this really cheap restaurant 100mimsoma something like that. Beer was like £2.00 euros, portions bit smaller than the menu. But was great for front of beach price. Also had a maccis right next to it. Handy with kids. Beach was lovely white soft sand. Think you can see whole Benidorm from that beach and more. Sea was very choppy. My kids loved it on the beach. Get bit cold later. Again 5 min walk back to tram.

This beach is beautiful, the sand is clean and it isn't too busy unlike Postiguet beach. The water is much cleaner too but can be quite rough. We felt safe to leave our stuff on the beach. We hired sunbeds one day but they were very expensive so if I went back I wouldn't bother with that. There are lots of nice bars and restaurants just off the beach, absolutely gorgeous views. We will definitely return to this beach!

This stretch of beach appears to go on forever and is a beautiful sandy beach with a whole plethora of activities to get involved in. There are beach gyms, football, volleyball , water sports and much more. It was used more by locals than tourists and so I found it less commercial than other beaches which our full of tourists. that said the beach is still very busy and full of life. There are plenty of bars and restaurants, all be it a lot of them were shut when we visited. Not sure if this was because we went out of season or because they cannot afford to re-open after the lockdowns. Overall a very good experience and would recommend as a place to visit.

A fantastic place for the teenager family. Long Beach, lots of activities and restaurants, just amazing ☀️👍

Go towards Alicante for more people and “action” walk towards El Campello and it is a bit calmer.

This is a long beach, very sandy with shallow waters. There are a number of bars and restaurants on it and a spot to hire peddalos. At the top right of the beach you can hire windsurfers, canoes, paddle boards, etc. Staff there arent the friendliest but this is the only place to get these!

Really boring beach. Okay for families with children. Nice sand and nice view of mountains in the distance on a clear day, but otherwise, really very dull. Situated in a neighborhood that is mostly just apartment blocks, many quiet old and ugly. Some cafes and restaurants, a McDonald´s and Montaditos, but nothing particularly interesting. Yet another AleHop as you will find absolutely everywhere in Spain. Overall, just kind of blah. Also, avoid Restaurant Aitana - extremely rude and hostile waiters.
