Amazing scenery

Amazing scenery - nice drive. Car park cost €2 for entire day, entry to the castle €4 per adult but well recommended for the views you get from the top

This visit was arranged by friends who now live in Murcia. Together with the small town and its area this is an outstanding area of Spain to visit. You must visit the castle only 4 euros. Small shops and restaurants make the day complete.

Well worth a visit we toured the area on a cruise excursion, views are spectacular. First stop was a tourist trap don't get off the bus unless you need to use the bathroom. Lots of shopping in the village.

Many people recommended this as a day trip, we spent 2 hours there, PLENTY of time! A quick walk up to the castle and overlook of reservoir. If we had time we would have hiked around and away from the touristy shops.

The view is really worth the drive from Alicante. The little shops are worth visiting as well, even if they are touristry.

If you are travelling in the Benidorm, Alicante or Costa Blanca area in general then you must put Guadalest Valley on your list of places to visit. This place is stunning, the views are amazing. They have a really nice view of the water down below and it could be a nice town BUT it's totally spoiled. Pushy photographers take your picture and try to sell it, much of the same souvenir shops and not much of a soul.
