Historic snall castle at one end of town and close to beach. Open to piblic amd free. Not alot to see but worth visiting if in town. They hold some great concerts in here in peak summer months.

Small and nicely renovated
Oct 2018 • Couples
Certainly worth visiting if you are in the area as it’s free. There didn’t seem to be much information about it. There was a nice photography exhibition with old photos of the area including where they filmed Laurence of Arabia.

A nice little castle in the center of Carboneras
By arrival we were greeted by a guardian dressed as an old time warrior!
After being allowed into this tiny castle we was shown around ( there are not too much to see)
In his “home “
There was a collection of old fotos from Carboneras - really interesting, but not much else! It took 1 hour, and that was enough.

Incredibly well maintained Castle
Apr 2018 • Family
We popped into this Castle as we spotted it on market day. It was beautifully maintained and had lovely displays of the history of the area and lots of information about the vases used to export olive oil etc.

Unusual Castle
Nov 2017 • Couples
Brilliant castle to visit and spend time looking at the exhibition, all very well laid out. The amphora display in the basement was wonderful. Plus lots of links to old films - Lawrence of Arabia and the Four Feathers

Great photographs on top floor
Sep 2017 • Friends
A mixed bag of small exhibitions, some paintings, some fake amphora but on the top floor there are 3 rooms of old photos of Carboneras which are fascinating. Definitely worth a visit - especially for the public loos!! - and it's free to get in

Good Attraction to Visit
May 2017 • Couples
The castle seems to have been refurbished recently and is still ongoing by the looks of things. Entry is free and at first you would think there is little to see, don't be fooled.
In the entrance there is a display of local items and when you get into the quadrangle, you can get access to several rooms either upstairs or downstairs, these rooms have exhibits of interest, plus old photographs on the wall.
A good visit, glad we came, well worth locating if in the town.
