Many reviewers seem charmed by the historical building but our experience was awkward and unpleasant. Poorly maintained property. We rented it as an apartment but manager tried to book in two more people to share.

Nothing can prepare you for the size & grandeur of this unique place to stay with a difference. Like staying in your own private castle. We were made exceptionally welcome by Bernardino & given a grand tour of the building. As you climb the grand staircase to the rooms you know you are in somewhere quite unique. Exquisitely carved wooden doors & panels give you a feeling you are about to be made a peer of the realm as you navigate the corridors. Bathrooms/showers are not en-suite but it is a small price to pay for staying in such atmospheric conditions. There is history all around you.
