This reserve is a spectacular river gorge with forested cliffs around. It's probably great to walk around but the maps I was able to get were not very accurate or useful. The park is a bit short of usable parking spaces if you're going by car. When I was there, one of the entrances was closed for road works but... More

Not far from the town of Pontedeume following signs to the Parque is a narrow winding road leading into Parque Natural Fragas do Eume following a lovely flowing river. After a few kilometres parking and picnic benches can be found on the banks of the river. Forest, trees and flowers surround the banks; lovely for a walk and great for... More

We had a beautiful day walking in this natural park. We did an 8 hours total trekking and it was totally worth it. Amazing day spent in the nature, recommended!

This place is just awesome, first of the attention, a lot of information and a free bus to get back from your last point, I went with my baby (3 months) and we take the 7 km route and the bus to get back, on the monastery there is a bar where you can order a natural granizado.

I went to Fragas on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It was a little hard to find; down very narrow, winding roads. Luckily it's free and it's a beautiful place. I saw the river and a couple waterfalls. Lots of families were having picnics at the picnic tables by the river. My only problem was I couldn't find the restrooms! The... More

No park in spain has this vegetation, it looks a little like the films of the mesozoic. i would recomend going by foot, since it is a two hour walk all allong the river, plane and easy, which runs on the oposite side of the road. The final part is quite step, but the bus doesnt avoid this final part either.... More

It´s the best place to visit all the natural mysticism around Galicia.Water and trees are everywhere. This old-growth forest is an Atlantic temperate rainforest, with oaks as the most common tree. The monastery of Saint John of Caaveiro also lies within the park. The perfect place for a good hike session on a cloudy Galician day.

A wonderfull walk surrounded by nature, leading to an old monastery. Free guided tours in spanish. Arriving to a car park in high season there is a complimentary bus takes you from the visitors center to the monastery side. You will need to collect your ticket, and pre-book your seat acording to the schedulled buses. It´s very common to walk... More
