I will admit that our experience was probably not the most typical of other visitors. My husband and I were being filmed for a US-based TV show and Codorniu was selected for a community experience. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and informative about the vineyard...More

It's hard to describe this place and visit with words. From the minute you arrive, it has a tranquil, warm, homely feeling that welcomes. Everyone that works at Codorniu seems to be family, the respect, the love they show for each other and Codorniu is...More

I have been visiting Codorniu for years, bringing visitors coming over from the US. I was surprised to see the 16€ price for a tour that was at one time free. The price went up gradually over the years but went from 7 to 16...More

There’s only one thing better than one glass of Cava....A BOTTLE!! Thoroughly enjoyed the wine tour at the world’s oldest producer of Cava.

It is an amazing place and a very interesting tour but for 2 things. The film was a total waste of our time. It it 10 minutes of meaningless marketing and neither informs not excites and just made us all rather angry. The tour is...More

Great tour for people with a slight interest in the creation of Cava. The tour was not too intense or too long so avoided being too much for us with only a minor interest. If it’s a very hot day this tour is mainly underground/...More

Slick, smart presentation and a knowledgeable guide who kept us informed and entertained. Hard to imagine there are four levels of tunnels, running 35km and containing 60m bottles of wine, but well conveyed by the tour and the underground train. Top quality Cava to taste...More

We had a great time at Codorniu, although the place is very touristic, the tour of the cavas was fun! We chose the tasting paired with cheese and it was delicious, worth the visit (if you don't prefer smaller and more 'authentic' wineries). Also worth...More

Instead of booking an expensive tour on a bus in a group we did this independently. They provide a bus from the centre on Monday to Friday but we were visiting on a Saturday. I booked the Anna tour online for 19€ each as this...More

I would go for a tour in another language - it's worth it even if you cannot understand the explanations (read the folder and ask your questions afterwards to the guide in English).

A lot of it is on this little train they have. But there is a lot of walking and some of it is underground. April should be 20 degrees so dress for that but then just take a jacket for the chill when you're underground... More
