Its topic is about dresses completely made of paper and it born due to the city from late sixties to the present time host every year a competition of this type of dresses.
The new building is modern, garish an easily recognizable from the street. About the price is 2.50€ the reduced ticket and 3.50€ the standard one.
The exhibition is divided in three different floors, in the first one; I could learn the materials and techniques used by the competitors to carry out the dresses, also in this floor it is possible to contemplate several famous dresses replicated to paper like the current Spanish queen (Leticia) wedding dress.
On the second floor, I observed stunning masterpieces inspired by époque and fantasy dresses. It was really difficult for me to choose one of them as the best.
Finally in the last one, it can watch fashion designs extracted from magazines and catwalks, you will need to watch them close enough, to realize that they are made of paper.
With a bit of luck, if the Theatre, called “l’Amistat”, (next to the museum) is open, for the same price you can see the spot where the paper dresses’ competition carries out. Is a well preserved modernism theatre from the beginnings of the XX century.
Summing-up, the exhibition was an authentic surprise for me; I will come back again to see new dresses as the exhibition is renewed every year! It is a place highly recommendable to visit.
