Family owned business, super warm welcome, delicious wine.
We arrived right on time to see them pressing the wine and have been shown how it works. The wine is really good and really good price (count 2,50€ for a bottle). We loved the authenticity of that place, the friendliness of this family and we can only recommend you to go and have such a nice experience for yourself

Went with my family and my dad is very well informed about wined but even he learned so many new things. I loved it. They’re so passionate about wine that it just warmed my heart. I experienced and understood wine in a fun, educational way. Loved the wines! & actually was able to bring home 6 bottles back to the states in my luggage. Going to cherish it.

At Mas Molla you’ll discover a wonderful warren of row upon row of old oak barrels containing wine of various types and ages. They have been making wine here for over 700 years and some of the barrels look that old! Montse is the eldest daughter and continues to make wine in the same traditional style. Its locally know as “vi de pagès”. Literally, this means “peasants’ wine” but don’t be put off by that as it tastes wonderful. It’s cheap too at under 2 euros a bottle – and you get money back on the old returned bottles!
We were won over by the Rosé wine during the tasting which had more colour and flavour than you would normally expect. We purchased some and had to go back for refills some days later!

Montse is often busy in the fields or with the vines and not geared up for regular commercial tours but if you are happy to drop by and take a chance then I can’t recommend it enough. Alternatively contact Mondse (she speaks English) beforehand and make an appointment.

I found this site which has more information http://www.enotourist.net/tag/mas-molla/ and a further page mentioning the neighboring wine maker Mas Ponsjoan http://www.enotourist.net/vi-de-pages-the-natural-wines-of-calonge/

Oh!, don't forget to buy some peaches - best we have ever had!

I have visited other vineyards who have turned into a tourist destination - Torres and cordinou but this is another league absolute authentic vineyard. The girls who run it are really lovely they make you very welcome, the wine is great. Highly recommend this as a trip

We could not have imagined the experience we were about to enjoy. A little tricky to find but well worth the effort as we drove up to Mas Molla. Having toured numerous wineries in North America, we were so pleasantly amazed by the warmth of the family greeting and the depth of knowledge and passion of our guide Montse. The focus of the wine making is totally unlike anything we have ever seen and changed our perspective of wine and its appreciation in just a few hours. Not to be missed. We're not kidding.

Amazing story of wine, hard work and family values. Really positive and energetic owner/guide Monte. Best experience during my Costa Brava trip. Booking is essential.

Our local guide, Jack Sagel, arranged the tour for our group. It was fabulous and well worth the drive!

Montse is a fabulous tour guide and her passion for wine and her commitment to her family's history (the farm was established by her family in 1338). As a wine lover and wine educator, I greatly respected her appreciation and respect for the soil, the grapes, and the experience.

The wines are not your typical wines, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth appreciating! We particularly enjoyed the ancient grape, Jaque! And her prices are outstandingly low. We would have easily payed 2 or 3 times the amount!

Put simply, if I lived near this winery, I would be a regular client and be one of the names on her barrels reserving dozens of each bottle!

I´ve been on many wine tours. But this one was exceptional. The way Montse produces her wine is very traditional, she´s still using her grandfather´s barrels and she has a very beautiful way of running her business. Wine prices are very low, she wants everyone to be able to afford it as drinking wine is part of the spanish culture. She never adds anything to the wine, she says the wine is the boss and if it takes more time for the fermentation, she gives him more time. That´s why every wine she produces is a little different. But they all taste wonderful in their very own way, go and try!!! :)

Montse, our hostess's family has owned and worked this land for 600+ years! They make small barrels of white, rose and their signature "witches wine" - my favourite. The only adaptation to modernity is converting from steam powered grape press to electric. Natural wine where every year a different nuance to the wine - dependent on climate, rainfall and cellaring. Passionate presentation that overran so her children Alois and Yvet ran up wanting Mummy to finish. They also have a farm shop selling homegrown peaches, cherries and plums in season.

What a lovely experience - the family are lovely with Maria showing us around with so much passion for the family business. The peaches they sell here are the best tasting and the Farmers wine produced here is original, different and the whole experience is unique adding something to the local community. At only €6 per person, this experience is under priced - whilst only 1 1/2 - 2 hrs, it would well be worth €10 per person. Love the whole family touch / cottage industry experience
