A lovely little lake away from the hustle and bustle of the other lakes but within striking distance. We didn't have to use public transport or taxis. Might be worth checking these out before travelling independently.

Nice little town with restaurants along the lake, so it was possible to enjoy an espresso with a lovely view over the clear water.

The remote and lovely position and the quaint mediaeval town. Also trips to beautiful Lake Maggiore and Lake Como and to Lugano in Switzerland. We were with a friendly and lively group - one of our best holidays.
