I loved El Tunco so much - it was so relaxing and the beach is beautiful. I took my first surf lesson which was really cheap, and it was really fun! I also travelled as a solo female and never felt unsafe

This place is interesting and like no other. It has both local Salvadorian crowd and also backpackers from all over the world. I highly recommend go surfing! There's not much to do here (haha) during the day honestly. I was here by myself and honestly...More

Beem here 3 to 4 times so yeah , I like it. Affordable rooms and food. There are 2 to 3 hotels that are above 100 a night , not worth it.

This is a great town to stare at hot men surfing or wandering around the town topless. We went mid-week so it was pretty dead but I can see the potential for weekend partying. Definitely stop here if you are into surfing and enjoy perving...More

El Tunco.. A touristy spot. Beaches are black and blistering hot. The ocean wont refresh u because it has the same temperature. Nothing else to do but surfing. And also the party is a bit tame...

It is a small town, but you can find many options for food and activities, not really good to swim, but if you want to try surfing, it is the best place
