At first glance, the church of Santa Maria della Reggia certainly stands out, an unusual external architecture, octagonal on the outside and circular on the inside; It is definitely worth a visit inside too.

Nella seconda parte della nostra vacanza in Umbria abbiamo soggiornato ad Umbertide e questa chiesa, assieme alla Rocca, è uno degli edifici che contraddistinguono la città, anche perché si erge isolata dagli altri fabbricati.
Nota anche come "collegiata", ha un'inconsueta pianta ottagonale, sormontata da un tamburo cilindrico più piccolo che culmina con una lanterna.
Pur essendo stata edificata a cavallo tra rinascimento e barocco, l'esterno ha uno stile sobrio, mentre gli interni, non grandissimi, sono decisamente più decorati.
Se passate da queste parti marita una breve visita.

Passeggiando nel centro storico di Umbertide, sono stata attratta dalla Collegiata di Santa Maria della Reggia.
La Chiesa è di forma ottagonale fuori , circolare dentro ed alta 40 metri.
Al suo interno tele e affreschi di grandi artisti del 500.
Per gli amanti dell'arte una visita da non perdere.

Chiesa dalla forma particolare ed impossibile da ignorare.
Molto bello l'interno, ben curato e ben valorizzato.
Purtroppo quando sono passato io si poteva visitare solamente dall'ingresso in quanto il cancello di ferro era chiuso.

La chiesa si trova di fronte alla rocca e conserva delle opere veramente notevoli.

La collegiata venne edificata nella seconda metà del XVI secolo per custodire l’immagine della Beata Vergine della Reggia, ed esternamente si presenta con una forma ottagonale con una grande lanterna sulla sommità e con l’interno circolare con colonne binate. Oltre al quadro raffigurante la B.V. della Reggia degno di nota l‘altare in legno dorato e il bellissimo tabernacolo, il fonte battesimale in marmo bianco e una statua di San Giuseppe. Alessandro e Ramona.

Frente a la Rocca, al centro mismo de la ciudad esta Iglesia de forma peculiar esta muy cuidada y tiene una belleza peculiar a pesar de no estar tan trabajada como la de San Francisco, por ejemplo. Simpática de visitar
