We booked a test scuba dive for our sons (aged 9 and 11) this summer and the team at Manta made it a magical experience for them and for us. We felt in very good hands with the experienced team as they took us all out to a dive site and took the boys down, one by one, to 5-6 metres, where they saw both an octopus and a shipwreck - the ultimate scuba experience for boys of their age.

We made more than 20 dives with Manta this July. We liked a lot. Very good knowledge of the dives sites, with clear breifings. They do their best to please all the divers and do not hesitate to make a trip to technical dives and another one to recreational sites. The operation is very confortable. The dive equipment stays in the boat during all the stay and the boat is moored at a natural pear just in front of the dive center. Therefore, you only need to arrive 5 min before the schedule because everything is ready. This is really comfortable. As some dives are deep, the surface time is long what is appreciated and safe. It is possible to rest on the beach or on the dive center as covered beach beds and stretches are available for guests. The boats are very spacious and covered, so guests are protected from the sun. We will definitively return to Manta.

I called Manta for dives beyond the limits of recreational diving. The friendly and welcoming staff of Manta's Dive Center helped me during my dive days on Vis to step further into technical diving. I saw all spectacular wrecks that Vis island is so famous for. Thank you very much for that memorable experience. I'll surely return !

I visited with my girlfriend on October 2018. I am a certified Rescue Diver, and as far as my dives go, they went well. The staff was not especially nice or welcoming, but the dive sites themselves are spectacular and I enjoyed them. My partner had an OW certification at the time, but had only logged the certification dives, obtained two years prior, and had not been diving since. We communicated over email with the Manta owners to explain this situation, and chose to purchase a "Refresh Dive with guide", as posted on their website, which adds some cost to the dive from the boat. We got to the first dive site, and I went down with a dive master while my girlfriend stayed with the instructor/owner for her shallower and supposedly "refresher" dive. This "refresher dive" included no more than 20 minutes of the instructor scolding her and occasionally yelling at her for not remembering certain things, then basically starting the dive unprepared, and then yelling at her again back on the boat. This has had the result of putting her off diving. I can think of no worse service from a dive company, than putting someone off diving. In addition, during both my and her dives, the owner/instructor repeatedly grabbed octopus with her hands and squeezed them until they inked, for the sole reason of seeing them ink, and showing this to her customers. This, as any beginner OW diver knows, is incredibly stressful for the octopus, and is disturbing the wildlife and environment. One of the first things you learn as a diver is to not touch the wildlife and to disturb it as least as possible. I strongly recommend that any visitors to this beautiful island stay away from this dive shop. It was the worst dive service I have ever witnessed.
