To visit that area, you need to make a special trip for it. This is a day trip. You have a small village sleepy of sea on, too crowded at summer time lying down the lagoa. This is the single access to the beaches. Except if you are a good swimmer and you do not carry with you anything that needs to be waterproof, the only access to the beaches is by hiring on the spot small boats to cross the laguna waters.

Amazing place!

This is a very pleasant place near Florianopolis. From the village to the beach, you must take a man-pushed small boat, that makes the small trip even more interesting. Cool atmosphere. Amazing seafood at the village. A MUST GO place!

A perfect mix of Praia do Rosa meets Garopaba

A small town still left in the 1970s. The ability to live as cheap or expensive as you want.

Beautiful beaches and excellent hikes.

As most beaches, gets busy during tourist times.

I have been there when I was much younger and its beauty is still an impact. You cross the river in a small boat driven by the locals. The beach and the island, all impressive. Spend the day and enjoy with the family.

Paradise!
Guarda do Embaú is a real paradise. In this beach you have the opportunity to surf great waves all over the year, do some hiking, walking or just enjoy chilling at the seaside!

It's a beautiful Beach. Very nature, perfect for surfist and families. It's one of the best place for surfing in the world. I loved Guarda do Embaú beach.

It has a wonderful village and the landscape is just amazing. I was surfing on the ocean while my son enjoyed the river side.

This is the best beach ever! There are a lot of things to do, for kids, adults of teenagers. The sea meats the river and experience is amazing! There is also a trekking with an amazing view in the end that is totally worth it. By far the best place to go, not only in the neighborhood but probably from de entire country! You can spend the day there and not get bored, besides the city has a lot of restaurants and cafes. Don't miss it!

To go from Florianopolis to Guarda do Embau take a bus at Ticen(bus station), the company name is "Paulo Tur"
