日野市唯一の陸上競技場です。大学などの施設で競技場はあるかもしれませんが、公立の競技場としてはここだけです。陸上競技場ではあるのですが、1周400mありませんで、300mです。しかも土。いまどき珍しいのですが、30年くらい変わらず今の状況です。
市民ランニングブームの中、今1つ日野市でランニングが根付いていないような気がしています。この周辺や浅川あたりで1つ大会でも開催すれば、新撰組＋αで町おこしができるような気はしています。
最寄駅はJR日野駅です。徒歩10分～15分くらいでしょうか。アクセスはあまり良くないので時間に余裕をもったほうが良いです・・が、市外の方が利用することは稀かもしれません。

陸上競技場を囲む大きな公園。
遊具あり、原っぱあり、ランニングコースありとのんびりと過ごせる。
公園の近くに湧き水が流れ、水あそびも楽しめる。

近くにはモノレールの駅があるのでアクセスはいいです。また隣にスポーツのできるホールや公園があるのでスポーツをする上ではとてもいい場所です。子供は無料ですし、気軽に使用できると思います。しかし地面がタータンではなく土なので走りづらいです。タータンにしてくれればもっといいのですが･･･（まあ日野市はお金が無いので難しいと思いますが･･･）

日野市にある陸上競技場で、市民の大会などが開けれているそうです。この日は、何も開かれていなかったので、静かでした。施設は整っていますが、観光地ではありません。

3年前に1回だけ、友人を応援にこの競技場に来たことがあります。
緑に囲まれて、当時は晴れていたので、すっきりした一日になりましたね。

陸上競技場を含む広い公園です。
日曜日に行ってみたら子供たちがサッカーをやっていました。
周辺には水辺もあり、緑の雑木林風の場所もあり、のんびり散策するにも良いところです。
小さい子を連れた家族連れも訪れていました。
日野駅から徒歩だと15分くらいの場所で、バス停も前にありますが、バス便は少なく便利ではないです。
車は有料駐車場があります。
