見て，触れて体験できます

入場開始10時からすでに人が集まっており，7～8割は親子で来ている方でした。巨大な水槽の中で船に乗る体験や波で文字や絵を作るデモは人気が高く待ち時間が長いので，開場と同時に並んだ方がよいと思います。他には強風や氷点下を体験できる施設があり，子供や大人も楽しめます。

大人も社会科見学

研究機関の年一の一般開放に行ってきました。チビには波の科学館に行こうと連れて行
きました。目当ては、巨大プールでの「波のダンスショー」。実際の海域での様々な波形を再現できる世界でも唯一無二の設備で船の模型を使ってシミュレーションができるようですが、この装置を使い水面に波で「顔の絵」や「なみ」の文字が現れるのは圧巻でした。全部見切れませんでしたが、風洞実験室での強風体験やクラフト体験などもありました。また、来年来たいと思うイベントですね。

東八道路沿いに位置する、海事・海洋技術に関する一大研究拠点。春に年一回の、一般開放がある。400ｍの世界最大の試験プールがある。2016年の開放日は、４月２４日（日）に開放が予定されている。

４月に一般解放される国の研究施設。中には、様々な実験設備があるが、大きな実験用プールでは、人工的な波をおこし、水面に文字や記号を書くところが凄かった。

毎年年１回４月に一般公開されていて、チャンスが少ないので結構人気です。
三鷹や吉祥寺からバスで行けますが駐車場などはないので、公共交通機関利用となります。図書館などもあり一般利用可能ですが、事前申し込みが必要です。

2015年4月19日（科学技術週間）　春期一般公開　されました。
駐車場の容量は少ないので電車がベストだと思います。
科学技術週間は様々な国や県の科学研究所関係が一気に一般公開します。
この周りでは、JAXA、海上技術安全研究所、電子航法研究所、海上技術安全研究所が一緒に見学できます。

海上技術安全研究所　の　NO.1のオススメは　深海水槽　でしょう！
水を完全にコントロールすることで、色々な形の波を作ることが出来ます。
大人でも感動しますよ！　魔法の様な技術、必見です！
