We went and had a great time. Certainly the less crowded it is, the better. I would advise going when not crowded if you can. It’s pricey but there are sometimes $2 off coupons (per person) handed out in takao.

Right after an exhilarating hike up Mt Takao, this museum is a short walk away, just across the street from the train station. Worthwhile to visit. Allow approx 90 mins to 2 hours. Children in particular will have fun.
