Laurine (?) was an excellent host for our family today. She knows a ton about wine, and we all left the winery feeling like we had learned a lot about the region the grapes and their history. We have done many tastings, but this one is going to be a memorable one. It was a really great experience that we will not soon forget.

I hope to drink their wine again in the future once I’ve finished everything we have bought.

Informative and very knowledgeable. Really nice hour tour with a tasting at the end with some local cheese and chaucterie. We didn't catch the young ladies name (studied in Scotland) but thank you. We stayed next door where we had a most delicious dinner. See separate review.

Great wines. Very reasonable prices. Nice tour and host. I wish now that we did the caves as they look great in pictures. We rushed the visit.

When planning a trip to the Loire Valley, our group had one stipulation, drink wine in a wine cave. Our experience at Marc Bredif exceeded expectations by far.

Our group opted for a curated tour and tasting experience, which I would highly recommend. After touring the centuries-old limestone cave which housed over a million bottles of wine, we stopped in the round-table room (pictured) for our tasting. While none of us are wine experts, we are enthusiasts with discerning palates and the selection was very pleasing. Our guide was highly knowledgeable and guided us through the region's different offerings. The accompanying local finger food (chevre, rillons, and chocolate pastry) was also a very nice touch.

While many other Loire regions such as Sancerre and Chinon get a bit more attention, I was very impressed with the Chenin Blancs of Vouvray. Marc Bredif is an outstanding example of these wines. I highly recommend going. Reserve in advance if you can...

This is an excellent example of a Loire Valley winery. Our guide, Victor, was fluent in English, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. He made our private tour instructional and enjoyable. The tasting was well planned and meant to instruct and give us a varied experience sampling the wines. Our tour was part of the Wine Discovery package offered by the Domaine des Hauts de Loire hotel. The caves were totally impressive, with the central room at 40 meters below ground and being centuries old. This is WAY different than anything we have in California and a wonderful contrast to see and experience.

Really enjoyed our tour of the caves of Marc Bredif. Reminded me a lot of our tour of the caves of Moët and Chandon in Epernay, Champagne about 8 years ago. Sparkling Vouvray made the same way as champagne except with Chenin Blanc grapes. The caves make a very interesting tour. Wines, including dessert wines are delicious.

cave is at about 12 - 14 degrees so you need to keep warm. The tour was informative and interesting and given in good english by a very friendly and helpful guide. The wine tasting, which I had booked on the internet ( again in English ) was relaxed and informative and we had a variety of wines and cheeses to try. The shop had a wide range of very good wines, sparkling, white, red, rose and we bought rather a lot and were thrilled by the quality of the wines and their apparent cheapness ( during our whole stay in the area we didn't spend more than £8 for excellent wines ).You have to keep your eyes open as there are a lot of caves on the road and the entrances seem a bit tight but sat navs can get you almost to the gate. This is a must!

My husband and I visited this cave during our recent honeymoon to France. We had read about it in Rick Steves guidebook on France and we were happy we did! We first did a wine tasting which was free and then we went on the tour of the caves. The wine was excellent - sparkling, whites and roses. It was just the two of us on the tour...they take people thru the cave as they come so you don't have to book ahead. The tour was inexpensive and definitely a must see. The tour of the caves were awesome and we were surprised by what we saw and learned!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

We found this vineyard through Rick Steve's and had to go. We loved it so much we made a special trip back so that we could purchase some more of their wines. We couldn't find their wines in the states until we found it at our local Spec's in Houston. We are now happy campers for sure.

I was fortunate enough to have a contact recommend this winery before we started our holiday and was delighted to find our cycle route took us right past the front door. The tasting room experience was very enjoyable but it's the wine cave tour that will really stay in the memory. From memory, it was E5pp but well worth it to glimpse into the tufa tunnels and the rack upon rack of wine. Not to mention the relief from the searing summer day. Highly recommended, as is the wine!
