First up, visiting the BBMF Visitor Centre is a good experience, the visitor centre itself is free and the hangar tour is interesting if you like aeroplanes & history. If you don't then it's probably not the place for you. The opportunity to see maintenance taking place or flying is not to be missed if you're in the area. But...... More

Visited this centre last week whilst in the area. This is a superb place to visit for children and adults alike. Great tour guide, I think it was Stuart, plenty of things to buy in the shop too. There was a tea room too, with prices very reasonable. The icing on the cake was the flight display of a Lancaster... More

If you are interested in the history of our wonderful RAF then this place is a definite to visit. There is a well stocked shop full of interesting memorabilia with extremely friendly staff. The tour guide was magnificent and made the whole experience come to life. You will not be disappointed.

Spitfire, Hurricane and the Lancaster bomber are nearly always on display on a good day, Dakota was in hiding today. The typhoons regularly do testing, I counted 9 but I've seen 12 here. The jet noise is unbelievable, just managed to catch a hurricane taking off today which was a bonus, the sound of that was glorious, The car park... More

What a great way to spend an afternoon! The guided tour lasts about 90 mins - The guide was an ex-RAF pilot and really knew his stuff. As we entered the hangar, we encountered a Dakota, standing just outside the open hanger doors This had been used in the Berlin Air Lift! We then went through the hanger, seeing the... More

We decided to visit the BBMF on our return from the Lincolnshire coast. The sign posting was good from the main road & they have their own free visitors car park opposite the base. There is a small museum in the entrance charting the history of the BBMF & the current planes. There is a small charge for a guided... More

I have wanted to visit the BBMF for a long time,so whilst spending a couple of days in Lincoln my wife and I decided to go on Wednesday 29th.The weather was terrible,we couldn't have picked a wetter day but as it is mainly indoors it didn't spoil our enjoyment. We booked our hangar tour in the visitor centre and spent... More

We called into the centre after our nearby stay and found it excellent. for a very reasonable charge you are guided through the hangar and given all the details of the exhibits during a 1.5 hour visit. We've seen them flying and it was great to get up close and learn more about the planes.

Had a lovely day out. Had a personal work tour from a world war 2 veteran. You are able to see all types of aircraft from the Lancaster, spitfire all the way up to the typhoons. Suitable for children and very good history learning. Thank you for a great day
