About
The Park is the ideal place to spend a day amidst luxuriant nature. Immerse yourself in the 600,000 square metres of green lawns and ancient woods. Enjoy the panoramas from the rolling hills, explore the maze and feast your eyes on the colourful displays of seasonal flowers. These and much more besides go to make up the natural marvels of the gardens that make for an unforgettable day out at the Park. The garden changes its appearance from season to season: in spring you enjoy the wonderful display of the million tulips of the celebrated “Tulip mania” period: the greatest flowering of tulips in the whole of southern Europe; in summer visitors can enjoy the refreshing shade of the boughs of age-old trees and admire the flowering ornamental water-gardens, while autumn has its own seasonal flowerings to be enjoyed among the vivid colours of trees’ foliage. For the kids the Farm is an absolute must.

The park is fairly big and generally well-maintained, so even if there is nothing special in there, the park overall is a beautiful place to spend some hours and it is worth a visit. Nonetheless, the day we visited they closed all restoration points without even informing us at the entrance, so that I came in with my family and we remained without water along the whole trip around the park, which is quite long if you have small children with you. This is truly ridiculous and disappointing. The only bar was open at the entrance, so that you could only get something to drink or to eat by making your way back to the starting point. Embarrassing! Moreover, there are so many "park cars" all around, to the effect that if you like to walk, you can't do it safely as cars will constantly push you to stop at the border of the street and wait for them to proceed. This is ridiculous as well: one might get to a park exactly to escape from cars and all those city things, right? These two elements ruined our experience completely. Definitely ridiculous and non-smart management.

We visited the part in early June. Many areas look as if they desperately need extra care. The park is green but does not look special or different from your average local city park. If you're looking for colorful sights or special flowering, you are in for a disappointment. The staff was drowsy and didn't make any effort to be friendly. Kids won't find much to do. The main attraction for kids is the maze, which is impressive, but they will get bored with it after 15 minutes. Bottom line - it does not worth a special drive. Only if you're in the area. Also, if you plan to rent an electric cart, make sure to note your start hour and be extra punctual on your return time. If you are late, they will charge for every extra minute (we were late 5 minutes, and they charged for half an hour's worth).

Actually we were very disappointed. Yes, the park is extensive and it's kept well, but the price is ridiculous high. 14 EUR per adult for a garden you may see elsewhere maybe even for free. Furthermore the prices for beverages (if it is open) are as well much higher than the average. I understand that in Italy this may be something special, but offer it for a fair price. If you have some special exhibition etc. you may charge an extra. Honestly I felt robbed. My recommendation: Spend your money elsewhere in the area.

Went there with our daughter. It is a nice botanical garden with lots of space. We walked around first and then took a golf cart for an hour (you can make the whole park within an hour). Unfortunately all food places were closed and also the farm was very dissapointing. Even though there were many school classes on field trips, it was not crowded as it spread all over the place. You could easily find a place to sit down in the park and relax.

The park is nice and huge but at this time of year, there were only tulips, green grass and not much more. The lakes were dirty and as we heard many kids saying; "there are no turtles in the turtle pond!" Perhaps there are more flowers and the lakes cleaned out for the summer, but for now EURO 12 a person is exaggerated, they should regulate their prices based on the season, especially since we've seen parks like this in various cities for free. No real need to rent the golf carts as it is nicer to absorb walking.

Parco Giardino Sigurtà is a park and garden in Valeggio sul Mincio, near lake Garda. The park has a beautiful rose avenue, a large lawn, water gardens and small lakes, a garden of medicinal herbs, a maze and centuries-old oak trees. If you are not too much into walking, you can rent a bike (4 Eur), an electric golf-cart (18 Eur),a shuttle with a professinal guide(6 Eur) or train with a voice guide (3,50 Eur).

This garden is wonderful. If you're staying in Verona you can reach it easily by bus from the Stazione FS (main bus/rail station). The No.160 bus takes you to the attractive town of Valeggio and the garden is a short walk from the bus stop. Funnily the garden does not explain this on their literature. On the day we visited during a heatwave (temperature 35), they also didn't explain that whilst their guide map shows several cafe spots around the park, only one was open. So take water with you because it's a long way from the outermost closed cafe to the innermost open one. Especially if you prefer to walk rather than use those infernal golf buggies. Great place though.

We boarded the 'train' (3.50 Euros), which took us on a non stop panoramic route, passing the Park's most famous features.
Then we walked back leisurely to those particular locations which especially caught our interest; the Water Gardens, the Avenue of Roses, the Stone of Eternal Youth and the Maze !.
At the time of our visit the Park was a feast of autumn colours, together with dahlias, asters and late flowering annuals.
It was a delightful morning !!

We hired a cart to go around this park but to be honest if you're interested in gardens the most interesting parts are well within walking distance of the entrance. If you prefer wilder area or want to see animals then those sections are a good distance away - too far for my lazy children. With the cart we got to see all parts of the garden in about an hour, it would have been closer to 2 hours without. If I was to go back I'd leave the cart and just travel as far as the lilly pond, because it's ornamental plants that interest me the most.
