This is a traditional Buddhist Temple dating all the way back to the 1400's. On the left side of the Temple, there are stone statues called Kappa Komainu (Kappa Guardian Dog). The statues head has a depression for holding water. This Temple is nearby Denshoen...More

Small temple you walk through on the way to Kappabuchi. I liked looking at the kappa statues, and the kappa dog statues too! Worth checking out if you're going to Denshoen as well.
