A short 14km long trail, soft ground, few obstacles, pretty flat, gorgeous scenery and the soft ground make it easy on the knees. Best run in the early morning before the tourist crowds arrive. Start at Oirase Hoshinoya Hotel or at trail head at Lake...More

This is a nice stream with a lovely walking path. the most popular area is near the beginning and the end. In the middle, though not as spectacular, is still beautiful and lovely to walk. Definite for nature lovers

Gorgeous views of water flows, waterfalls, plantations in fall season of 14km long. although there are shuttle buses letting people hop-on/off, it's better to drive to various photo spots. pls note private cars are prohibited during certain weekends and holidays due to huge crowds.

We got there on early April, so the snow just melted and there had not been any blossoms yet. The water was running in a small stream. It was the first time i see snow.

The 14 km walk along the Oirase stream was totally absorbing. The trail is known as Waterfall Avenue due to the numerous waterfalls scattered along its length. The stream is surrounded by beautiful beech forest and must be one of the most scenic areas of...More
