Beautiful serene place full of walks waterfalls suspension bridge, huge outcrops of rocky Gorges A photographers dream. The tracks next to the river edge were very slippery due to melting snow.

I recommend everyone that goes to Japan and goes to some places far from mass touristic areas like Lake Towada and Oirase stream. Take a bus from hachinohe JR station around 9am and go down 4 stops from the lake then walk. After that take...More

Perhaps there are a lot nice places like this in other countries but for someone from HK, the different views along the stream is both breath-taking and impressive. We went on a day when it was raining but we got a car. So instead of...More

We went during the late fall winter season and while some of trees had already shed their colourful leaves it was still a mesmerising visit! This is nature at its finest! You can walk along the stream but be prepared to go on foot for...More

It's a two-hour bus ride (with some really nice views) each way to Oirase stream from Aomori city. As someone who doesn't hike, I thought it was enjoyable and not taxing. Occasionally having to walk along and on the road and the sound of traffic...More

This was one of the must-visited stops we had in our 2016 Autumn leaf-viewing Trip. Oirase Steam 奧入瀨溪流 did not disappointed us. It’s indeed a remarkable experience. We walked along the Stream under a raining day, quite a scene! We enjoyed every step of it.

Beautiful place during the fall. We were a couple of weeks before peak autumn colors but still enjoyed some red and orange foliage. Expect lots of other tourists during fall color display especially at popular stops (waterfalls etc) along the trail. Very easy trail. Pretty...More

This is a must visit place in Aomori. I rented a car instead of using JR bus because I did not want to stick to the bus schedule. Along the road to this attraction area was full of stunning view of autumn color.

We will be going to Oirase Stream & Lake Towada late October. We have planned the train trip to Hachinohe but hit a stumbling block regarding the bus to Lake Towada. Can anyone please advise the bus schedules from Hachinohe to Lake Towada? Thank you.

You can find the bus schedule on a web page of "JR BUS TOHOKU". Unfortunately, it isn't allowed to attach the URL here, so try to google with the word above^_^ Have a nice trip!!
Did the JR Train ticket cover the JR Bus? or paid ? thanks

If you purchase JR pass, it is valid for the bus. But JR East pass is not valid for the bus
