This was one of the must-visited stops we had in our 2016 Autumn leaf-viewing Trip. Oirase Steam 奧入瀨溪流 did not disappointed us. It’s indeed a remarkable experience. We walked along the Stream under a raining day, quite a scene! We enjoyed every step of it.

It was a cold snowy day I was here however the views were spectacular. There are trails along the stream and you can see many different trees, moss and plants. As it was a stormy day we did not see any others along the way that resulted in many unspoiled photos.

Beautiful place during the fall. We were a couple of weeks before peak autumn colors but still enjoyed some red and orange foliage. Expect lots of other tourists during fall color display especially at popular stops (waterfalls etc) along the trail. Very easy trail. Pretty much level the entire length. We took the JR bus from Shin Aomori train station.... More

This is a must visit place in Aomori. I rented a car instead of using JR bus because I did not want to stick to the bus schedule. Along the road to this attraction area was full of stunning view of autumn color.

You should try to walk along the road in winter time to take picture of red leaf of maple. It's quite an experience.

Not difficult walk at all. Suitable for all ages. For one day visitor. Take bus to 石戶 then walk towards 子口 It takes about 4 hours easy walk. You can take a bus to Towada lake for late lunch. Peaceful and not crowded at all. Good walking path that takes about 4 hours total, but you can certainly choose certain portions to walk if you'd like less time on foot. Rushing water, many waterfalls of all sizes, and excessive greenery. Trees just starting to turn for Autumn in late September. Can walk as much or little as you want.... More

Despite the rain, I made the hike from Oirase Keiryu Hotel all the way to Nenoguchi at Lake Towada. Since it was raining, there weren't that many people so it was very peaceful. The hike itself was fairly easy, mostly on level ground. At Nenoguchi, I took the ferry accross the lake to Yasumiya, then took the JR Tohoku bus... More

We traveled to this area from our son's home in Misawa the day after Typhoon Lionrock. Therefore, the water was flowing fast and that made for great pictures of the waterfalls! We started at the main visitor area which had a little museum, a little restaurant, and restrooms, and walked for about an hour before retracing our steps. I would... More

This rushing stream is spectacular in all seasons. As part of a tour in May, we hiked for only about 1.5 hours, but it was very rewarding. Hike as much of it as you can. It's flat terrain. Take time to sit along the stream, take in the sights, sounds and smells and enjoy the foliage as well as the... More
