Strictly speaking, this museum is located inside the Aomori Prefectural Industrial Technology Center Apple Research Institute in Kuroishi City. This is a historic facility that has been visited by the Emperor. The Apple Museum is a Western-style building with ivy entwined all over the walls, and in autumn, the ivy leaves turn red and the entire building is dyed red. The scene I saw in the photos was so strong that I couldn't forget it, so I visited the museum wanting to see it with my own eyes.
The nearest station is Kuroishi Station, but it is a bit far, so I recommend going by car. You can park your car in the parking lot on the premises. The Apple Museum is free to visit, but you will need to apply for a tour at the research institute's counter and register your address and name. Please note.
When I actually went there, it was still too early for the leaves to turn red, and the ivy was just starting to turn red. I was hoping to see the entire museum dyed red, so it was disappointing.
However, since this is a museum, it should be evaluated based on the number and quality of the materials. We also had a look inside, and there were many displays of research results on apples, such as various varieties, cultivation methods, and the effects of apples. There are few attractions, so it may be boring if you are not interested, but I think that it has first-class research materials. If you are interested in apples, if you like apples, or if you want to see a rare sight, this is the place to go.
