We drove to the monastery on our way from Cadaques back to Barcelona. The drive alone was amazing - it is a twisting, winding road with gorgeous views of the port below. We had little idea of what to expect at the monastery and were...More

It was a nice weekend we spent with children in the Alt Empordà. Despite there are traces of great artist, Dali, around every corner, this monastery is one of those visits that has to be done. Technicians would talk about the sophisticated Romanesque sculpture, and...More

The large monastery is impressive by itself but the location, perched on an outlook with a view of the sea, was breathtaking. They provide audioguides with the entry fee and they're pretty good. You can control the amount of detail you want at every point....More

Spent an afternoon here, first we ate in the restaurant with amazing views and then explored the monastery. We almost had the place to ourselves and there are lots of interesting things to see.

I not a great one for ancient monuments but this was very good! The very good audio guide (in your language) made all the difference and a good restaurant on site is an added bonus!

We drove up to the monastery and walked from site to site. All are impressive and worth the effort. Very valuable in terms of understanding the history of the area as well as the various phases of economic / social development in Girona.

For one person alone it could be dificult to push the wheelchair up, but why not ask the people of the restaurant to come (downstairs) and give you a hand. I'm sure they will be glad to help you.
