The drive along the coast is fantastic and then you park and walk to the monastery. So lots of time to enjoy the fabulous views all around in this remote headland. The monastery is huge and now mostly in ruins but a great testament to...More

Didn’t expect there to be so much to see. The commentary on the handsets was very good, usually they never seem to work properly, but the information about the monastery and it’s history was very good and clear. We also had the menu of the...More

Lierally, breath-taking. Getting there is an experience, but the views are fantastic. We were there for a wedding party, and the restaurant was closed for our use, but the service was extraordinary, the food delightful, and the whole show just magnificent.

We wanted a break from the beaches and this was the perfect afternoon. A winding drive takes maybe 12-15 minutes from El Port de la Selva and you park in the car park leaving a 7-8 minute walk to the monastery. We picked blackberries on...More

We came here to get some of the famous scenic views en route. We were not disappointed. Even more, this monument was kept in pretty good shape and is impressive in size. We also used the good audio guide to go through the monastery and...More

The Monastary was not on my original Back Roads tour itinerary but our guide suggested we pop up for a look. I laughed nervously all the way up the winding little road to the top of the mountain What a drive?? What an amazing view!!...More

Staying locally and decided to take a trip - definitely not to be missed. The monastery has been incredibly well and sensitively developed for visitors and it's in a stunning location far up on the hillside, with superb views. Entry is very reasonable - about...More

For one person alone it could be dificult to push the wheelchair up, but why not ask the people of the restaurant to come (downstairs) and give you a hand. I'm sure they will be glad to help you.
