A beautiful church in a quiet hillside village. We found that there was a little market in the town due to the almonds being in flower around the valley. The almonds were not quite in flower, but the beauty was just getting ready to be seen in a full extent. The church was lovely inside. Simple but with a profound religious sentiment. Well worth taking the time to see.

On our 3rd stop on our Twizy Safari, we visited Santiago del Teide & visited this Church.
It's not a big Church, but the detailing inside was amazing, especially the woodwork, the best being the ceiling & doors.
Certainly worth a look.

It's always amazing how rich and decorative these little churches are.We were lucky that when we were looking around the town that this was open.

Dominating the town square the church picked out in the Sun draws you in. The interior with the beautifully decorated altars, remarkable given the relatively remote location.

Parked near the tourism office and walked to the church square, the doors were open and the entrance adorned with beautiful bouquets. Obviously been a festival of some kind last weekend. The church is gorgeous, and inside so well taken care of. Lots of area where you can light candles for loved ones. If church’s are your thing, this one should be on your list.

We have visited this church many times and went to a concert here last February. On this last visit there was lovely sacred music on tape in the background.

While visiting Santiago del Teide recently, we called in to see this little church building, which can be found in the square at the far end of the village. If you like visiting church buildings, then this is definitely worth a visit. It's only small, but very well looked after. Everything looked well cared for, even had several vases of fresh flowers set around here and there. While we were there, two ladies came in to clean and water the flowers.

It was obvious that there was either a festival on or one being prepared for at this beautiful church. We were simply driving through but it certainly caught our attention and we stopped to have a look.
Very well looked after and there was a constant stream of people (locals and tourists) coming and going. The inside was so cool out of the sun and the statues sparkled in the candlelight. There were some lovely ones, particularly the Madonna and child on the right hand side. The roof is painted too and there is a coppola above the altar space for sunlight to stream in.
Couldn't find any information on the church bar a quick story on a sign outside. However the tourist office (very busy) was right next door, so there was most likely help there. Definitely worth pulling over for.

This place catches your eye everytime you pass through Santiago del Teide, Stunning building and worth a stop and a visit to see the interior of the church. Not very big but makes up in presence.
