Iglesia de Santa Maria is the main church in Aranda de Duero, a town in Burgos Province, in the center of Spain. It was built in the 15th Century in a Gothic-style, where there was another small church built in a Romanesque-style. Nowadays, it has a very beautiful main gate, which is all decorated. The inner part is also very nice, specially the staircase, the pulpit and the main altarpiece. Probablybest building in the city.

This is an amazing architectural cathedral like church. The huge intricate front door and facade reflects skilled workmanship from the 15th century. This church represents the centre of Arande de Duero

We were walking in the older part of Aranda and we found the Church of Santa Maria with is very elaborate facade, the church was closed but just admiring the front door and facade is well worth it.

Very beautiful church , not touristy, entrance is 1euro. Windows are colourful and there are some fascinating wooden statues and screens, complete with woodworm !

Fascinating church located in the old town. The frescos outside are beautiful. It costs 1 euro donation to view the inside of the building which is worthwhile.

Beautiful church in the heart of the old city of Aranda de Duero. At night it´s even more spectacular. The stained glass windows and artwork inside are beautiful. Worth the visit.
