What a stunning place. A bit of a drive off the beaten track, but well worth it. Gardens established in 1836 and the same family still on the property. A lovely path meanders through huge trees, lined with azaleas, rhododendrons, clivias and many other plants....More

A lovely day out. Unfortunately the road is not great for the last few kilometers. A dirt road with a lot of corrugations which, if you are driving a regular car, makes the going quite slow. The garden is really lovely with a theme of...More

This must be one of South Africa's brilliant secrets - the most magnificent gardens high up in the Karkloof hills. The giant trees from all over the world are a wonder and the Spring showing of flowers today were out of this world! Highly recommended...More

Beautiful garden with a lovely path winding through the garden. Our dogs could run their hearts out on the big lawns and they loved it. Would love to visit again in spring/summer.

We went walking around the gardens and were in awe of some the huge trees and beautiful flowers! Was so pretty....It was also great for birding and were able to get some lifers! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

This is an extensive, rolling-lawns garden with a huge variety of shrubs and trees from all over the world. Beautifully maintained and well worth a visit. It's been lovingly looked after by the same family for many generations.
